I have a dream

I have a dream, I dream
For all the daughters in this world
That they live the life of old dignity
When in His image they were created
To rule and subdue and be named ‘man’.

I have a dream, I dream
For all the daughters in this world
That they be attired in strength and dignity
With scant regard to their sexuality
And shut the mouths of dogs that call them ‘bitches’.

I have a dream, I dream
For all the daughters in this world
That in wisdom be richly adorned
With the garland of grace and crown of splendor
As of old, when His appraisal had found them ‘good’.

I have a dream, I dream
For all the daughters in this world
That they be treasures themselves
And not the breakable jars of clay
His treasured possession, His chosen inheritance
By His great love to be called His ‘Beloved’.
