Why is the concept of ‘Omnipresent God’ misconstrued? Think again,
is it Omnipresent or I AM? And what is the difference?
Why is the concept of ‘the omnipresent God’ one of the most misconstrued knowledge of God? Just because everybody is stating “God is Omnipresent” or “God is everywhere” DOES NOT MEAN it is as it suggests. For example, God is definitely not present in hell.
Such NOTIONS are propagated only to earn the justification religions desperately seek. However the fact remains that all religions are man-made. They are VAIN attempts or pursuits of man TO SEEK GOD OF WHOM HE HAS NO INKLING ABOUT! But to the discerning these are the red flags.
The very idea that man can find God on his own is as preposterous as the attempts he makes. How is it that it does not occur to man that he cannot find God without God’s help? How is it that it does not occur to him that only God can reveal who He truly is? And how is it that man fails to understand that seeking His kingdom and His righteousness is not the same as his attempts to reach the moon or to discover a new planet or a new cell? For who but the Almighty Himself can show us the way to Himself, His holy Nature and His holy Abode!
Raise these questions, or better still, answer these questions and you will strike at the very foundations of these HOUSES OF FOLLY that are built on nothing but the proverbial sand. They will all come crumbling down as the first ‘tower of Babel’ man attempted to reach Heaven did (Mic 1:2-5).
Only Truth will expose these empty-headed and preposterous misappropriations of God-knowledge which surprisingly we find all religions agree upon irrespective of their otherwise “hallmark” differences.
LET US BE WARNED THAT WE ARE NOT GOING TO GET AWAY WITH OUR LIES FOR EVER. The Word Of God CLEARLY WARNS US AGAINST MISUSING HIS NAME and AGAINST ‘SPEAKING WHAT IS NOT RIGHT ABOUT HIM (refer Job 42:7)’. Both are grave offenses for which we shall be held accountable by Him.
The Truth is that God is All-knowing and All-wise. There is nothing hidden from God, and there is no place unreachable by God (Jn 3:8). For eg. Matt 24:31. And, what is more? There is no escaping from God, which means there is no refuge both ‘apart from’ and from God. Even death will fail to provide a cover on the Day of His wrath. Just as Jesus Christ proved when He came down not just to the earth but also when He entered Death and Hades, until then considered as ‘PLACES OF NO RETURN’, before ascending back to Heaven. Yes, just as it written, He holds the keys and before Him all the dead will be resurrected to receive their due (Rev 3:7, Rev 20:12-15).
In this time of His favor, because He is Compassionate, He will hear your cries for His mercy and be willing to deliver you (Matt 5:45b). For eg. Gen 16:13-14, Lk 17:11-18 etc. In that sense His compassion is accessible to one and all. “.. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.” (Matt 5:45).
But to sum up all these knowledge in one word and to suggest that God is Omnipresent is preposterous, if not utterly blasphemous!
For one thing you can be certain He is not in hell. AND HE IS DEFINITELY NOT WITH YOU IF YOU ARE IN DISAGREEMENT WITH HIM. Indeed how boastful and presumptuous we become when we blindly claim that “God is with us” or even purport to bless another with a “God be with you”. To that effect, the Word of God asks, “DO TWO WALK TOGETHER UNLESS THEY HAVE AGREED TO DO SO?” (Amos 3:3).
Understand that God is an EVER-PRESENT HELP ONLY TO THOSE WHO BELONG TO HIM, THOSE WHO HAVE ENTERED INTO HIS COVENANT WITH HIM AND ABIDE BY IT FAITHFULLY JUST AS HE IS FAITHFUL. Refer Matt 28:19-20b, Jn 14:18, Isa 42:3-4, Isa 49:15-16, Heb 13:5, Josh 1:5 etc., to cite a few. Also read 2 Tim 2:19, Phil 1:6 etc. Only then, just as it is written, it makes sense to say (with confidence), “The Lord is my Helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” (Heb 13:6, Matt 10:26).
One cannot presume to enter into any gathering and hope that God is there. For this is how God exposes all religions. Jesus reveals, “Where two or three come together in My Name, there am I with them.” (Matt 18:20). And lest one misconstrues this knowledge too, as obviously many are already in the habit of doing, Jesus also warns, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but ONLY HE WHO DOES THE WILL OF MY FATHER WHO IS IN HEAVEN.” (Matt 7:21).
Finally, let it be known that instead of wrongly suggesting God is Omnipresent or present everywhere at all times what is True and appropriate is to learn that God is “I AM” (Ex 3:14). As the Name suggests He is present at all times, even in times beyond time – i.e. from Eternity to Eternity which of course includes the timelessness before time was created, the times – past, present and future and also the timelessness or the eternity that is to come when once again time shall be no more.
May God bless you and open your eyes!
